Summary taken from Goodreads.com:

See the #1 New York Times bestselling story Beastly through Lindy's eyes! This is her diary, kept while living in captivity with the beast. Lindy's Diary captures all the romance and edgy mystery of the original!

I am locked away... with no one to confide in but you... and him. His fur, those claws—they caught me off guard at first, but now I'm noticing something else about him—something deeper. It's the look in his eye. It tells me he's got a secret to keep. That's okay—I've got one, too. I think I'm falling in love with him....

The story of Beauty and the Beast is a timeless classic and Alex Flinn manages to do a beautiful modern day re-take on the beautiful love story in Beastly. And finally we get to see Lindy’s side of the tale. Flinn made a great choice telling the story from the point of view of the beast. Its something that the viewers who grew up on Disney rendition are not use to. And it made it all the better. Now there is a short(ish) novella from the point of view of Lindy through her diary. Finally we get answers to our questions about what was running through her mind?, when did she fall in love with him? and even got to experience something things that we didn’t know happened. Beastly: Lindy’s Diary is the kind of story that you read when you want the little refresher of the story.

Adrian/Kyle: Always a great character
Lindy: She has some depth to her and we find out what her side of the story is. Especially with regards to her dad and not telling Adrian that she loved him sooner.
Bad: I almost got mad at Lindy when I knew she was about to leave, because I wanted to kno why she never did decide to come back. Luckily it all gets worked out.

Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):

Overall, I love it. The writing was excellent, the story was not confusing and stuck to the story of Beastly but simply providing us with answers and making us like Lindy a little but more.
