Alright, well I just had to get it out there.
Anyhow, for those of you that do not know this movie (which I am very very excited to see) is based off of the novel, of the same name, but Isaac Marion.
Warm Bodies (Click for Goodreads info) is a Zombie love story.
Check out the summary of the book:
R is a young man with an existential crisis--he is a zombie. He shuffles through an America destroyed by war, social collapse, and the mindless hunger of his undead comrades, but he craves something more than blood and brains. He can speak just a few grunted syllables, but his inner life is deep, full of wonder and longing. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams.
After experiencing a teenage boy's memories while consuming his brain, R makes an unexpected choice that begins a tense, awkward, and strangely sweet relationship with the victim's human girlfriend. Julie is a blast of color in the otherwise dreary and gray landscape that surrounds R. His decision to protect her will transform not only R, but his fellow Dead, and perhaps their whole lifeless world.
Scary, funny, and surprisingly poignant, Warm Bodies is about being alive, being dead and the blurry line in between.
So lets see...
Six from The Lorian Legacies series by Pittacus Lore-✓
The extremely cute kid from About a Boy, that turned into the hot guy who played Beast/Hank McCoy in X-Men: First Class, and will be playing Jack, from the upcoming movie Jack the Giant Slayer (which is based off the Jack and the Bean Stock fairy tale)-✓
That all adds up to me going to this movie with a large smile on my face. J
If that wasn't enough to convince you that you not only need to read this (which I haven't but will be doing shortly), but watch this as well, then here is the trailer for you:
Eh? Eh? (I'm virtually nudging you in the ribs). You know. You know (*I say with a raised eyebrow).
You know what I'm talking about. (*I smile and node)
