Reason chosen:

I was told about this book by the author and I the cover made me look, but the story line made me want to read it and fast.

Summary taken from Goodreads:

Tessa Stoneman hasn’t been able to get long-time friend and business partner Nicholas Boone out of her head since they shared a single kiss in college. Even when she dated Nicholas’s best friend. Now that she’s giving up her position at GameNerdz to strike out on her own—and now that she’s single—maybe it’s the right time to see if there’s still something between them.

Nicholas knows once Tessa leaves the company she helped found, they might drift apart. Before she starts her own company in the new year, he wants to woo the woman he fell in love with during college. So he poses as her Secret Santa, gifts her with items from the song “Santa Baby,” and plans a big reveal at the company holiday party. But when his best friend wants to rekindle his romance with Tessa, will Nicholas lose his last chance?

I do wish this book would have been longer, because I really enjoyed the character and it would have been even better if it was a pulled sized novel.
My main reason behind this: I am a sucker for nerds, and add in a buff British nerd and I think my heart has stopped. The book was a short and sweet novel that circled around to characters that missed their shot in College and after many years are finally making up for it. It’s a cute read that makes me wish a guy would take the Santa Baby song literally for me too. I did feel that the characters love moved really fast, but I guess considering they had been in love with each other for almost eight years probably had something to do with it. One thing I wasn’t sure of was the character Damien; he is very confusing to understand—basically he’s a CEO, playboy, best friend of the to main characters, and he doesn’t understand what love is and gives up pretty easy—a little unsettling. However, I still really enjoyed this short novella. It brought a smile to my face and I may have been drooling in the process.

Nick—I like me some nerdy buff romantic Englishman.

Tessa—She seems pretty cool and determined to prove herself.

Damien—not really sure I understood him as a character.

Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):

Overall the book was a good fast and easy read that left me smiling. There was nothing confusing and even though it was a short novella nothing was really missing. Although, it still would have been awesome if it was made into a full novel. It left my toes curling and my hopes high while I dreamt of my Knight and Shinning Armour that was basically a replica of Nick.
